The Marian Welty Family Archive
The family’s own papers — charts, letters, and record copies — gathered in one place.
This collection is named for Marian Welty — in remembering how kind she was, and how much care she put into all of this. A librarian, she gathered and worked on the family’s genealogy, and it is her collection that this archive carries forward. What follows are the papers themselves: lineage charts, an early typed family history, and copies of records the family kept.
They are shown here as-is. Some carry family traditions that later research — DNA and primary records — has since corrected; where that happens it is noted beneath the image, with the correction. Nothing is edited or cleaned up; these are the sources, kept honest.
A note on the photographs: these are quick snapshots for now. I am in the process of setting up decent lighting to re-photograph everything properly — better images of each of these, and the rest of Marian’s collection, are on the way.Marian’s Charts
